is a filmmaker & sound artist based in San Diego, CA and Chicago, IL. They engage with hybrid + experimental forms of video art, documentary, expanded cinema, VJing, and video installation. She creates works often concerned with observations and ecstatic interventions upon gestures, spaces, and local histories of Black athletes & African diaspora. As a former athlete, they migrate their vague childhood muscle memories into symbolic experiments with stasis, motion, and interiority. This pulses towards their Igbo-Nigerian heritage. Their work has voyaged through OpenTV, MoMA PS1, Toronto International Film Festival x Instagram Festival, UCLA Biennial, Blacktronika: Sound for Humanity Festival, Black International Cinema Berlin, PBS Film Festival to name a few. They regularly collaborate with artists, musicians, and the community. Forthcoming they will be VJing for the Chicago Architectural Biennial, South Side Home Movie Projects, and Pitchfork Music Festival. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Visual Arts at University of California, San Diego.
